Pandora
DOB: 15/04/2016
Sex: Female
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Coat: Medium
Microchip: 953010001072511
Location: Caulfield, VIC
Adoption Fee: $200
If you're searching for a gentle companion who’s ready to claim her spot as the queen of your home, Pandora, or Pandy as her foster mum calls her, may be the perfect match! This lovely lady has a delicate soul, and she’s happiest in a calm, serene setting where she can feel secure. This unfortunately means no kids but older, respectful teenagers may be okay.
Pandy takes some time to settle in, but once she’s comfortable, she is a cuddly friend who loves napping as close to your head as she can get to make sure you don’t get lonely. Pandy loves to survey her surroundings from up high and enjoys sunbathing in cosy spots, treating every bit of sunlight as her royal spotlight. She’s not much into toys, preferring instead a good scratching post or cardboard scratcher to keep her nails in shape. She’s also a grazer, so a home where her food is left out for leisurely snacking would suit her best.
Her diet preferences are simple: she does well on urinary dry food but is a little picky with wet foods. We’ve found some that she likes so we’ll make sure you know too. Pandy is looking for a pet-free home that values her gentle personality and will treat her like the princess she knows she is. With the right family, Pandy will blossom into the loving, loyal, and quietly regal companion she was meant to be.
Jorgi & SIR PERCI
DOB: 23/9/2014 & 27/1/2012
Sex: Female & Male
Breed: British Shorthair
Coat: Short
Microchip: 943094320449882 & 956000008445365
Location: Brighton, VIC
Adoption Fee: $750
Please say hello to Perci and Jorgi! This senior pair of British Shorthairs are looking for a retirement home through no fault of their own after their owner became homeless.
Jorgi is a wonderfully smoochy girl who absolutely loves belly scratches. She may look a bit grumpy, but she is incredibly affectionate once she settles and feels comfortable. Perci is a very curious inquisitive cat who loves scratches behind the ear, and he is very vocal about when he wants them! Percy is a very confident cat and becomes playful once he’s settled. Although watch out when he looks like he wants a belly scratches, it’s a trap!
Perci and Jorgi are like an old married couple, they might bicker over who’s food is who’s, but you’ll often find them sitting, sleeping, and loafing together. They love each other most of the time! While Perci’s weight isn’t too bad for a British, poor Jorgi is extremely overweight and will need help to gradually lose the excess weight, to allow her to move more freely and take pressure off her joints. This will include a strict diet (which Perci can be on as well) and encouraging her to play and exercise. Being overweight is extremely detrimental to a cat’s health and it’s really important that their new home take their weight management seriously to avoid potential health ramifications going forward.
Jorgi back was extremely matted when they arrived in care, so she has had a partial clip. Both cats will need regular brushing to ensure their coats stay nice. Perci can be a little bit touchy around the base of his tail and while there’s nothing wrong with it now, we suspect he had an injury at some point and still worries it will hurt.
While in our care they have both had dentals to ensure they are as healthy as possible. Both are desexed, microchipped and up to date with their vaccinations and parasite treatments. These gorgeous seniors are looking for a quiet, mature home where they will be the only pets. They have so much love to give and we’d love to find them a forever home in time for the holidays!
villanelle
DOB: 22/10/2011
Sex: Female
Breed: Scottish Fold
Coat: Long
Microchip: 956000017471147
Location: Rowville, VIC
Adoption Fee: $450
Villanelle is a senior girl who still has a playful side. She loves to play with toys when she’s not sunning herself in a window or having a nap somewhere cosy. She’s also a big fan of catnip toys and will roll around with them in absolute bliss! Much like her namesake, Villanelle does have a flair for the dramatic, if her bowl is empty (or she just feels like it), she will call out to alert her people to her existence, just in case they’ve forgotten! This generally only happens once or twice a day and the rest of the time she’s not an overly chatty cat but does have a fantastic purr.
Villanelle is still on the skinny side, despite putting on some much-needed weight while in care, so she will need to remain on a premium kitten food diet unless or until she bulks up. Villanelle is looking for a quiet, mature retirement home where she can get in plenty of lap time and generally live a quiet life. She would like to be the only pet in her forever home so she can have all the attention to herself and not be bothered by other animals.
Villanelle arrived in care having been shaved due to matting and with her tail inexplicably fused solid in place which caused her lots of issues. She has now had the bulk of her tail removed and this has made life much easier for her. She will need regular brushing as her coat grows back in and will likely need the odd tidy up as seniors often do.
Villanelle is a very special girl, looking for an equally special home that will lavish her will all the love and attention she wants and help her maintain her health in her senior years. To assist with this, Villanelle will go to her new home with a month’s supply of Antinol - https://antinol.com.au/products/antinol-plus-for-cats-easy-feed-capsule
She is of course, desexed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite treatments. Villanelle is in care in Rowville and is looking for a home in or around Melbourne.
Little BEAN
DOB: 20/01/2018
Sex: Male
Breed: Persian
Coat: Long
Microchip: 978102100104624
Location: Ascot Vale, VIC
Adoption Fee: $850
Little Bean is the sweetest, most agreeable little muffin you’ll ever meet. This guy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and has nothing but sweetness and love for all he meets.
As you can see, Beanie has an XXL tongue blep 👅 and while it may seem cute, sadly, the inability to hold his tongue in his mouth is uncomfortable and extremely inconvenient for the poor lad, making eating, drinking and grooming very challenging. The reason Little Bean’s tongue permanently hangs out is a combination of a large number of missing teeth and an extreme underbite. There is nothing we can do to fix this and unfortunately Little Bean will have to live with this issue for the rest of his life.
Thankfully, after a fair bit of trial and error, we have been able to come up with a pretty good system to help Beanie eat enough to keep him healthy and satisfied. His new home will need to be willing to provide Little Bean with appropriate food and he will go to his new home with suitable bowls, all of which will be explained to his potential new family. He also requires a daily face clean and would do best being kept in a short coat, as long hair is just too much for him to manage.
While Beanie is pretty sedate most of the time, enjoying snoozing in front of a heat vent or watching the world go by out a window, he really comes alive when given interactive toys! Anything that moves on its own is instantly of interest to Bean, who very cleverly tries to outsmart the toys at their own game! Little Bean has previously lived with small, friendly dogs and other cats and is happy to make friends with any animal that is calm and friendly but his ideal home would be one without young children.
Little Bean has so much joy and love to bring to a very lucky home and we can’t wait to see him settle in and start his forever life!
Hubert
DOB: 13/08/2007
Sex: Male
Breed: Chinchilla
Coat: Long
Microchip: 978102100104624
Location: Narre Warren South, VIC
Adoption Fee: $300
Hubert is just a cool dude searching for true love in his twilight years. At 17, he’s curious, loving, and full of personality. Like many senior cats, he can be a bit stubborn, especially when he suspects that you’ve tried to sneak dry food into his bowl—but that’s all part of his charm! Hubert is the bestest boy, always happy to keep you company as you go about your day, whether you’re making dinner or folding the washing. When it’s time for bed, he’s right there, ready to snuggle up with you all night long.
Despite his age, Hubert is still active and sprightly, with no issues jumping up onto things. He spends his days finding the warmest spots to snooze or sitting on the windowsill watching the world go by. He’s also quite the chatterbox and has a knack for learning where you keep the food. Don’t be surprised if he tries to lead you there for an extra treat!
Hubert gets along great with other friendly cats, so we’re open to homes with a compatible feline friend. However, he’s also available to an only-cat home where he’ll be spoiled as he deserves. He would thrive in an adult household or one with teenagers who understand the needs of this dapper gentleman.
While in our care, Hubert has been clipped, had a dental procedure, and undergone two successful rounds of lump removals. He has no ongoing medical needs but will need a family willing to provide any necessary care in the future. Hubert is desexed, microchipped, and up to date with his vaccinations and parasite treatments. He is currently in care in Narre Warren South and is looking for a home in Melbourne and the surrounding suburbs. If you think you’re the one(s) for Hubert, please apply via the button below.
